CHICAGO, IL — September–October 2026 — Gallery Guichard, in partnership with The Field Museum, the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, the Garfield Park Conservatory, and the South Shore Cultural Center, proudly presents Soul of the Stone, an eight-month cultural and artistic experience celebrating the rich tradition of Zimbabwean Shona stone sculpture.
Meshake Mutasa is a contemporary Shona sculptor from Zimbabwe whose stone carvings are featured in international collections like Gallery Guichard. His work draws deep inspiration from traditional Shona culture and mbira music.
